Amazing how some people continue to focus on self defense, as if that was the main point of OP's question.

OP, you might want to edit it out of your initial post, otherwise newcomers are going to keep posting useless comments about it.

It's far too late for that, and anyone old enough to legally participate on BF would have known going in that HUMAN NATURE being what it is, that any commentary along those lines would derail an otherwise innocent thread... or was that maybe their intention... hmmm. Sigh... I guess I'm just not as evolved as you are, I don't see the higher motives in every human action. I apologize.

....
That's an important point to focus on because we didn't know how much support the guy with the Conceal Permit had.

Regardless, a knife probably wasn't what Wayne LaPierre had in mind.

Since it is a knife for a saddlebag I think it is pretty obvious self defense is not the intent.

I have a Kershaw Leek that I carry on my person at all times. Small enough not to be obtrusive but works for just about everything I need it for.

When I ride, I wear a CRKT neck knife. It is in a Kydex sheath and hangs on paracord under my shirt. I bought it when I was
riding a motorcycle. Its comfortable and easy to access.
