Question Concerning Shimano 6401 FD
I have a Shimano Tri Color front derailleur model 6401 that is clamp on style. I am needing a braze on and I am wondering if the clamp on version can be converted to braze on or do I have to buy one? Thanks for any info.

you would need the Braze-on version, there is no way to convert a clamp on version to braze on.
Sometimes the Braze on one is mounted in a clamp so its sold as a clamp on.

Pretty easy to find on eBay; and not expensive.
I might have one on hand; I can ck if you want to do a swap for your clamp-on.
