Heiser Farm 2008 was my first race. That's a fun course. I hear the mud was outrageous.

Raced the first race of the "Cross The Way" series here in Tennessee. I finished first in both the Cat-4's and Single Speed Class! It was an awesome course! Pretty dry conditions but a lot of climbing and descending. The promoters are also really awesome!
Running the barriers during the 4's race
All the racers in the Single Speed class agreed to drink a beer between every lap
Riding it out to the finish of the Single Speed race
Podium Shot for the CX4's
After race beers with another podium finisher in the Single Speed class

BikePortland's Jonathan Maus got a nice shot of me yesterday at Rainier before my derailleur exploded.
This is just past the top of the worst hill. For some reason, I thought I was doing OK on the steep part of the climb, but I hadn't saved anything for the smaller climb that immediately followed. At the moment this picture was taken, I was simultaneously making a futile attempt to reposition the brake lever that got dislodged when I crashed earlier in the lap and seriously considering dropping out of the race due to lack of fitness. Within 10 minutes of this picture being taken, I was out of the race with a DNF, as pictured in my previous post.
It's entirely possible that this picture captures the exact moment of the highest heart rate I've ever produced.

From this past Sunday, Cobbs Hill in Rochester, NY. This was a gnarly course with some scary single track and this crazy run up that had a barrier at the base and when you got to the top you still had to jump on a ride up more hill, only to turn around and hit half a dozen off camber switchbacks on the way back down.

You guys need to stop posting pictures of CX racers off their bikes because of small planks or logs. The mountain bikers are going to laugh at us.
