Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Zipp 303's on the A bike (left) & 440's laced to American Classic hubs on the right. I also use Mavic Reflex/Dura Ace set ups for more techincal (rough/rocky/mtb style) courses.

Too many pretty bikes here... time for a franken-bike. Just decided to try cyclocross last week, was able to throw this together for a race last weekend.

Here's my Raleigh Team Cross. Ksyrium Equipe wheels, Profile Carbon triple cranks, DuraAce shifting and a really nice old Specialized saddle that will be impossible to replace when it breaks and Specialized saddles like to break.

whats going on with that headtube mate? do you have a back injury or something? Seems like it'd be hard to steer for one thing.

Here it is, my urban cyclocross machine. This is a fairly stock Cannondale CX with the exception of the pedals and the tires.

Just an update to my CX. The new Xero XR-1 wheelset went through some off-road training and my first CX race unscathed. We'll see how they last the whole season. I also went with narrower traditional bend bars to better match my road bike feel. It feels much better now.
