Need new rear derailleur will a 6700 work with 6600 shifters

I am needing to get a new rear short cage derailleur plus i also run a compact double in front and i am looking at the 6700 model because it has more chain rap so it should work better with this compact setup.
My bike has 6600 ultegra shifters will this 6700 rear derailleur work with these shifters

I'm using almost that same combination, for the same reasons (chain wrap). Works great.
