Italian white sauce?
OK, this is probably seriously off-topic, but if anybody toured Italy in the late 1980s I'm wondering if you know the brand name of a white sauce that came in sort of a small milk carton container. We put it on our tortellini every night. Every store in Italy had it. I seem to recall it started with an "F" or a "P". Perhaps the brand is even still around. Thanks in advance.

Tortellini - the perfect packbacking food. If you can't find the brand you're looking for try this:

Are you sure it wasn't a small carton of cream (panna in Italian)? Bring it to a boil, add a bit of grated parmigiano, and you've got a tasty cream sauce. Also great with one of the following added: porcini mushrooms, a dollop of pesto, or some tomato sauce which makes a wonderful pink sauce. If you add some pesto, turn off the heat or you'll boil away all of the fragrance of the basil.
