Bike handlebars and brake lever fit
Hello,
Recently i've been intrested in these bike levers

and i was wondering if these brake levers would fit. Say if i mounted them 1 inch away from the stem.

If you look at the specs for the bars (bike levers???) and the brake levers you'll see that the bars have a 24mm section either side of the stem clamp (which is 25.4mm) and the levers are to fit a 22.2 bar.
These dimensions don't look to be compatible to me.
We installed a Rodeo bar on a customer's bike a while ago. had a bear of a time fitting a lever next to the stem section a week later. Wish we had known from the start that was the goal. We'd have suggested a different bar. Andy.

The RL720 levers are "interrupter" levers used in line between the primary brake levers and the brake calipers, they are mounted on the upper section of drop bars and are commonly used for cyclocross. It was my understanding they cannot be used as primary braking levers. I may be wrong but I just bought a set for one of my projects and didn't see anyway to anchor the end of the brake cable. They basically "bend" the cable to activate the caliper, at least that's how it looks to me. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Interrupter levers like the 720s can be used as the primary brake lever. They require that the brake inner cable have the on-axis cylindrical head type. The off-axis lead head (BMX) won't fit in the opening, and the mushroom (road) type must have the thinner lead portion ground down to the match the cable diameter. PG

bending the soldered-cast Zn ends using interuptor levers
instead of a lever designed to be on the end of the cable . is an accident waiting to happen .
when the stiffer part of the cable fatigues from flexing the very end.
IMO better , use a short section of more housing say 3 " long , and tape that down.
then the running length of the cable is being used again..
But Yea the reverse lever is a better Piece to use, you can add a interrupter lever in addition to those
if you wish ..
