Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

FINALLY, we have heat!

Now we have to figure the system out, including the thermostats, and what temperature to set them at to make the rooms themselves comfortable. For example, the one for the bedroom zone is in a hallway outside the bedrooms, so if the system is trying to make it 70 degrees there, it's considerably hotter in the master bedroom! And this morning, at maybe 6:30, the preset on the thermostat tried to make it 70 degrees, so I woke up a little sweaty. Ick.

Our master gets out of control hot during the night which is weird cause we don’t change anything and it’s comfortable when we go to bed

Ew. People generally sleep better in cooler temps, so I have our thermostat set in the low 60s overnight and then bump up to ~70 in the morning - I consider that as an additional morning alarm.

I'm actually AT work today, vs trying to WFH while HVAC guys crawl around over my head, and just got a call from Mrs. GeneJockey. In order to run a drain line from the furnace (which also has a cooling coil in case we want to add AC), they need to poke out through the garage wall, right by where I hang my bikes. So, they're going to move them....

Yep. I set it to 62 or 64 (I forget which) when I went to bed and slept great till I woke up in the Sahara.

Unforgivable!

you'd better start a counter invoice to them for “damages”.

70A is at the bottom fringe of comfortable. 78A is ideal. Sadly only happens in the summer.

One of my patients just dropped off a huge stack of pizelles. I am afraid they might not be low-carb. Sigh.

We're getting cut loose from work early if we want due to suspected bad road conditions.

They're probably not too bad, but I'll take the opportunity if I can get it!
