Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My Flyte SRS-3... Porntastic

Here she is... discussed in another forum a while back, finally got a pic posted.

Frame: Flyte SRS-3
Fork: Flyte CR-3 all carbon
Wheels: Easton Vista SL
Cranks: FSA SL-K MegaExo
Derailleurs/Shifters/Brakes: Ultegra 10 Triple
Bars: FSA RD-200
Stem: FSA OS-170
Saddle: Fizik Aliante Carbon
Post: Flyte Titanium
Tires: Michelin Krylion Carbon (for the winter/spring)
Computer: Polar CS200cad

I love it!!! I seriously can't believe the quality of the ride for the price Flyte charges, and the customer service is great. My only gripes are the cheapie bar end caps (getting replaced), the cheapie headset plug (replaced with an FSA Compressor), and the Bontrager tires (flatted within 40 miles), but hey--those are minor issues.

I love the way the lines meet in the middle. So sexy. And that red color is so appealing.

What Bontrager tires? I have the Race X-Lites that came on my 5200, and they actually work pretty well.....knock on wood.

His geocities site has exceeded it's bandwidth allocations. Host it on one of the free picture hosting sites like imageshack so we can all see it Dr.

My SRS-3 frame arrived, and I switched all the parts from the Mercier Serpens to her. I decided to take it to the LBS, and let them play with the deraileurs. I lack the patience to mess with adjusting them myself. When I called, Chip told me to bring it down, and he would do the dirty work for $20.00. He's always willing to help me out with my project bikes. I get her back tomorrow, I'm off work, and it's supposed to be 67, and sunny. Can't wait to ride her, and I'll be sure to snap up some pic's for you forumites to enjoy.

Doc, the bike looks great. I hope her sister will turn some heads also!

Very nice bike. Ride it in good health. I have an SRS-2. I like the color scheme on the SRS-3 better. I am really wanting one of their defiant Ti bikes. Maybe next year.

I don't know if a triple and that huge a cassette can ever by "porntastic." Maybe "pornish." That's just me. Definitely more pornish than my ride though.

It's only a 12-25... I'll confess that the granny doesn't see much use, but it's nice to have the bailout on the less-than-100% days.

So maybe it is pornish, but average that with the Aliante Carbon (pornucopia), and you end up with porntastic.
