haha, i assume you're being sarcastic.
On a serious note. This whole thread kind of defeats the purpose of what it was intended for, doesn't it?
ie. MUP = Multi-Use Path.
There are those who believe bikes should only be allowed on a MUP, because they inhibit road traffic, and slow down our precious economy.
Then, there are those who believe bikes should removed from MUP's, because they are too dangerous to the pedestrians, and should be only allowed on roads.
I've found we as cyclists really don't have much position to be whining about where we get to ride, as we are allowed to ride just about anywhere.
One shouldn't ruin our broad terrain by complaining about everyone else.

Funny post made even funnier by the rest of the thread. For what it's worth, Jim, I had a good laugh.

Think of it this way...
Would you drive your car on a 2-lane road at 60mph while other cars move slowly and unpredictably at 10mph? Probably not.
That said, we as cyclists have every right to go on any MUP at any (legal) speed we please. But as always, we should exercise caution when approaching people, strollers, bums etc.
I was riding down an MUP the other day, and i was quickly approaching a group of kids walking home from school. They were on the side of the road, but then 2 of them started to move into the trail. One turned around and saw me, and the other appeared to turn around, but didn't see me coming. I ended up running into him and going over the handlebars. Luckily, I was able to slow down enough that both of us (and bike) walked away unharmed. I told him sorry, but he needs to be more aware for bikers on this trail.
But for parents who lets kids run around and make no attempt to round up their kids or get their attention when you are riding up on them...they deserve to be frowned upon!
