It's been all over the bike industry mags. Originally slated for 2016, but it seems they're preparing to do it sooner. Response from more traditional US retailers is going to be disruptive. I think a lot of LBS's will fold because of this new model.

You think?? I get the sense that most LBS's get their business from novice cyclists. Canyon caters more to the "enthusiast."

I agree about Canyon's market being the enthusiast. What I'm thinking is that because Trek and others will/have announce(d) their direct sales model now in response to Canyon and other direct sellers, that many LBS will be paid an "assembly fee" that's a lot less than their already slim margin on new bike sales. I think it's the relationship between Trek/Specialized/Cannondale/Others and their dealer network that's going to be disruptive.

Kit doesn't match
I bought them a few weeks ago, installed them and forgot about them.
A few days later bike had a new squeak that only, um, squeaked, when I stood up to pedal. I checked the chainrings and a few other possibles, then decided it was the BB, so I changed it out.
Right, it wasn't the BB, it was the front skewer. An extra bit of twist and no more squeak.
I'm an idiot.

...are those lightweight alloy rods on those things? Fine if you want so spend your life on vertical dropouts. #noneformethanks
I'd probably only put them on one, if I got some, though. I'd really rather go to non-QR skewers on most of my bikes. Campagnolo skewers on the Scapin. Cook Bros on one of the MTBs, the rest Non-QR.

Maybe if I run my current bike into a car and bend it all up I can justify the purchase of the new frame to my wife. More likely she'd never want me to ride again though...

The all-new S-Works Venge ViAS was developed with one objective in mind—to be the fastest bike in the world.
