A couple days ago, a speed run to the local greenway. It would have been a record time contender with a tailwind taking a minute off my time except I caught a lace from my new boots on a chainring. I'll get it next time for sure! /s

Last night a romp on local hills, 13.5 miles. Ran the two-dog gauntlet. I've composed notes in my head to each of the owners but I haven't delivered them yet. I don't want to call animal control because I'm sympathetic to the idea that they were here first, living in farm houses out in the sticks, now here comes civilization flooding in around them, imposing rules they didn't ask for and don't want. But that fat little 25mph animal bullet will have trouble with on-coming traffic some day.

I did 3 laps of Prospect Park on a beautiful day here in NYC. That was about 15 miles with the to/from included. I've been riding indoors the last few weeks after my San Francisco ride and the training is paying off. I'm beginning to feel as strong as I did 2 summers ago. Bummer that turkey day is coming, that'll mean being off the bike for a few days while I stuff my face a turkey.

32 miles this morning. Left just as the sun was starting to melt the frost on the grass, and returned home just as the temps were hitting the high 50s. A nice half paved - half gravel road bike ride. Then went for a 7 mile hack (horses) with a neighbor. So 39 miles ridden today in total.

14 miles last night on the indoor trainer. That's about all I can stand, due to the overwhelming boredom of indoor riding.

47 days since my last actual ride; the one that ended with a broken C3.

Hopefully the doc will give me good news next week, and the hard neck brace will downgrade to a soft brace.

I got a quick 7 mile ride in. I was going to hop on the trainer after it to get a good workout but never made it on.

8.3 miles around the neighborhood which pushed me over the century mark for the month of November, down from the 160+ I did in October. Weather and a crash at the end of last month slowed me down a little this month .

To the grocery yesterday to pick up some Turkey Day ingredients. Then 25 minutes pre-penance in the basement.

Headed out late for me, 7 (AM) ish. Bundled up with base and fleece kit. Got out about two miles along the river, where it is often windy. Very windy. Realized my ears were never going to make it like this. Turned around. Got a cap and just warming my head at the moment before I try again. That wind is a killer.

Another hour and change on the trike today... both hands! It was nice to be able to shift the RD when needed, and use both brakes. Amazing what one week of PT and regular exercises have allowed.

Homemade mac-n-cheese is next. Turkey breast in the crock pot smells really good. So much to be thankful for, even with daily trials.

Same here r.e.- "headed out late." Out at 8:15AM and missed the group leaving the Trail Head. Could see them heading down the trail and it took almost 4 miles to catch them. Managed to "hang on" with the splintered group then headed out by myself to finish up my ride. Had 25 miles with the group and 40 miles on my own so a slacker 65 miles today.

Got out Monday night at 11:50PM, met up with a friend and had 31 miles in when we stopped at his house for some coffee. He stayed home and slept while I continued on and finished with 126 miles. Going to be heading out tomorrow close to midnight to meet up with him again and if weather is good and body is good then goal will be 150 miles.

Not really. Comparing myself to those I ride with (attempt to ride with), I'm an underachiever.

Post turkey day ride......temps 40s and 50s. Mild winds. Sunshine turned to cloudy skies which kept it feeling cooler. It is my wife’s birthday so I was chasing the clock to get back for her celebration. Managed 81 miles with 4000’ of hills. It was nice having less traffic on the with folks doing Black Friday things.

Actually did two rides today. Had a meeting to attend this morning at 8:00, so I left the house about 7:30 for 6.5 miles. A bit chilly, mid 30s with NW wind 10 to 12 mph. Went out again midday to do some errands and get a slice of pizza for lunch, mid 40s with NW wind at 15 mph or so. All sunshine and a really nice for a casual rides. Total 27 miles.

Quite cold here but dry and not too windy. A nice, easy 18-miler in town before the traffic kicked in. No drama. Took some protein when I got home. Feeling a bit better.

I ate a lot on Turkey day. I am thankful for having good light weight bikes to back up my electric assist bike. I don't ride it in rain or snow. Black Friday I also rode in light fog.

My 25 miles had a lot of wind and precip. My biggest problem was planning for rain. I was drenched under neath my layers.

Met up with 21 years younger buddy at Midnight + 2 minutes this morning. He provided some "Elderly Abuse" pushing me harder than I really wanted to go for the 32 miles we rode together. THANKFULLY was able to complete today's ride despite the aches and pains --- 135 miles and just missed a random age doubling ride of 138.

Nope, not today. Raining and 40's.
Got out Thanksgiving morning for an 8 mile ride in dry conditions but a bit cold - mid 30's. Probably burned enough calories for a piece of pie but had three pieces with Turkey Day feast.

No riding for me yesterday, either, except in the car. Very rainy and 37°f. Was out the day before with a group of 9 likeminded "up there in age" cyclists. We rode 25 miles in 41°f overcast weather, stopping midway for lunch. Had an absolute blast. Super group of people, all out to enjoy a very chilly but fun ride together.
