Merz just posted this from American Cyclery. Sale this weekend in support of a mammoth seismic retrofit that threatens to close the shop for good. I’ll try to make it if I can...

Dang!, My go to shop for many years for C&V knowledgeable mechanic services, staples and the occasional hard to find old part, possibly closing for good??!
No way!, I think they're the last of their kind in the City. with the other big old shop in Valencia street, already gone.... I really hope they survive their building's seismic retrofit!
I will be there for sale for sure to see if I can help with some purchases!

Ooo, always wanted a Zunow and a 56 is perfect for me. How long ago did you see it down there?

For some reason I thought American Cyclery was owned by the same folks who own SOMA , clearly I must be wrong oh well .. I hope he can earn enough money to survive the winter.

I hope they manage to pull through. Will be a shame if the last shop of the once famous bike shop row closes. They were and are one of the OG C&V shops.
