Try a split saddle like the ISM types used by time trialists and tri folk. Anything with a generous cutout to relief pressure on the perineum.

There's also the Moon saddle, completely nose-less. Looks odd but a cyclist I saw riding one Sunday loves it. I'd suspect it's not ideal for racing or any cycling that involves quick bike handling maneuvers, including mountain biking. We use body English to steer our bikes, mostly unconsciously. So adapting to the Moon saddle would take some effort.

If you're accustomed to wearing padded shorts or liners with baggies, you might try thinner pads or no pads with a saddle that provides plenty of clearance to minimize perineum pressure. I find that with my one saddle with a cutout, my thicker padded shorts are actually *more* uncomfortable. And I need to tip the saddle nose downward a bit, which puts more pressure on my hands.

But with the right saddle you may be able to go without thick pads, or any padding at all.
