Road Test/Bike Review (1978) BICKERTON Folding Bicycle
Note the small ad for the Bickerton on the last page of the article. Also, the bike made the front cover.

I have a 1976 three speed model. They originated in Tewin, Hertfordshire, UK, just a few miles from where I live and are consequently a local curiosity. My friend Paul who introduced me to Bickertons likened the handling sensation to 'trying to ride a horse that's on skis'. Never tried it, but I guess riding mine is as close as it gets. Interesting and very light bikes though, all aluminium and designed by an aircraft engineer - not a single weld, they are entirely bolted together. Creeping up in value but there doesn't seem to be any great demand for them, always a few on ebay UK.
