Rear view camera systems?

I mounted my backup phone on the back of my bike and used my Apple Watch to view behind me.

It was better than nothing.
Any good alternatives?

Anything like an AR headset and a rear wide angle lens cam that streams over Bluetooth?

Another idea would be building a mirror system (think tricky periscope) on a helmet. Anything out there?

Mirrors are a reliable way to look behind, and they're cheaper than electronics. Figure out which mirror works for you. Some people like a mirror on their handlebars. Some like it mounted to their helmets. I attach mine to my glasses, and that works for me. I do have to turn my head to look directly behind me, but now that I've formed the habit, it doesn't slow me down.
