Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I float around 200lbs so I'll probably go 2x front and 3x rear

Front:
2x: 286 l&r
3x: 300 l&r

Rear:
2x 287 left/ 286 right
3x 301 left/ 300 right
If it's a difference of 1mm in spoke length left/right on the rear, you probably don't have to worry about it at all. Most places that sell spokes don't even offer them in 1mm increments in my experience.

BTW, if you need a wheel building reference book, here is a PDF of The Art of Wheelbuilding https://tri.by/content/files/artofwheelbuilding.pdf

Easy to follow lacing method at page 67 which can be adapted for 2x lacing.

I like to measure everything before I order spokes, even if there is a lot of data out there. Up to you.

I second this. 2x R, 1x or radial F.

Edit, can you even do 2x on a 20h hub?

Yep, although it's the most you'd want to do.

Alrighty... Got the front wheel laced up but based on the existing spoke divots I can't place the valve where I'd like.

Everywhere I read online stated the TB14 to be center drilled, which mine are not 😕... So it's not allowing me to place the spoke in the hole I want to... Ugh

yup.....
I remember when I laced the Archetype, I had the same issue because it is not center drilled.
But I got right after re-doing it.
https://www.bikeforums.net/bicycle-m...nsiometer.html

I followed the tips from Sheldon Brown to start from the hole next to the valve hole.
