Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Upgrade mood

Feeling the need to make some upgrades to my current bike: Scott Foil 30 2013. Have purchased this bike a few years ago and it already had some upgrades but the current components are as follows:
SRAM rival shifters and brakes
SRAM force rear and front derailer
SRAM red crank
LVWA 50mm carbon wheelset (Chinese)

what would you upgrade first? Thanks in advance.

Tyres?

Tires?

If BF conventional wisdom is your guide, tires are your best bang-for-buck upgrade.

SRAM Red shifters and a YAW front derailleur (if you don't have one now and follow the install instructions explicitly, its a finicky install but a joy to use) You probably wouldn't notice upgrading any of the other SRAM components.

Mavic UST wheelset. It has made a tremendous difference in my bikes.

Campy Chorus or Record drive train. Functionally easier to use and solid shifts every time.
