So let’s get * out of the way first.

1. I will not ship this bike, I live in Lacey, WA. and can meet at a Starbucks in Lacey to deliver this bike, I will not ship.

2. I will hold this offer open until this Friday September 20th, 2019. If you are interested send me an IM [PM, private message, through the Forum to Since6] and tell me why you want this bike and how you plan to use it. While I know you can just turn around and flip this bike, or worse part it out, it is my hope that a free, very high end, second from the top of the line Fuji “Professional” will go to someone who wants it to ride, enjoy, restore. I will read your IM [PM, private message to Since6 through the Forum] submissions Friday morning, provided I get any, and then announce via IM [PM, private message through the Forum back to you] and in this post who gets the bike.

3. Why? Life is short, if you can’t make the time, pass it on to someone who does have the time and passion. I’ve realized that my current collection is pretty complete, they make me smile each time I sit down in my office.

A little history on the bike we know it was last ridden in a triathalon in Jacksonville Florida as this race number came on the bike.

I'd love to come down and bring it back to Seattle to rebuild it. Maybe I'd build some new wheels for it with a Superbe hubset I just bought. But the bike's a size small, and I'd be forced to sell it, hoping to get rewarded for the hours I put in. Alas...

Kurt have your friend in Texas send me a PM and have him call Bill Stevenson, he can pack and ship the bike to your friend in Texas and I can deliver the bike to Bill. In addition to building custom bikes, Bill does partial to complete restorations on vintage bikes. Took a frame that came off the rack on the freeway and restored it in the owner's words to "better than new". He is a good friend and a great local builder and it would be about the same drive for me to his shop as to a local Starbucks.
I would recommend this to anyone else who cannot come pick up the bike from me. But again please send me a PM too so I can review and make my decision on Friday morning. Thanks

Dang. Too small for me. If you get no takers, I'm in Gig Harbor on Friday night and would happily make a 40 minute road trip to come and get it -- for the parts. Mercenary, yes. I have been hoping to score another set of tubular rims for low or no $$. Everything else looks pretty usable, too.

I get why you don't want to ship; I'm not crazy about the either.

Your welcome and thank you. A bicycle has been a companion since I was six years old. Enjoy the rides with others and alone and the memories.

And don't forget a tandem, if you and your partner can ride a tandem together, communicate, share the endless slow crank up and over a pass, you will have acquired the skills to meet all life's challenges, and know that you are friends for life.
