I have the Virginia plates. Very boring. Just regular plates with a picture of the yellow "Share the Road" road sign.

I got right hooked by a guy in a pick up truck with a "Share the Road" bumper sticker on his tailgate the other day. Made me think I wouldn't want one on my car should I ever do a similar bone head move.

While I approve of the advocacy I abhor the hypocrisy bumper stickers and other back of car pronouncements sometimes create.

I only have two "decorations" on my rear bumper: the "Share the Road" plate, and a bumper sticker from last year's election supporting the candidate whose last name starts with "Obama."

Both of them actually make me drive a BIT more carefully and respectfully lest they make me look hypocritical.

I think so anyway.

Florida. What is cool if you're into such things, is that they give you a
little matching 1/4 size one for your bike

I like the Texas ones, and am thinking about getting them for the wife's car (since my car is mainly a driveway ornament).

its unfortunate states are tying bike and motorist education about bikes to the sale of bike-crazy license plates.

these programs should be supported and independent of any funds raised by bike-addled motorists that ride bicycles too.

maybe Kentucky could make all their license plates like that.

I just got new plates and asked about these. Yikes! $25 extra per year. I could see a one time added fee, but an added yearly fee, too? Not only didn't I buy one, when I look at a car with one, I think they're an idiot.

The Florida tag looks like evidence in a trial -- "This photo, members of the jury, was taken a few seconds before the innocent rider was run down from behind by the defendant's sinister black car."

Actually, it's $15 a year renewal, if that makes a difference. Lots of people spend $15 on things I wouldn't, but it's their fifteen bucks.
