YES to tanwalls on the DeRosa. This bike is made for tan walls with black rims. All silver or all black components too, if we're just talking aesthetics.

It looks like Continental has discontinued the dark brown sidewalls this year on every tire but the Grand Prix Classic. At least there's still that. Too bad. It's the end of an era. I used to like the brown sewups for training.

Now that was funny. I think they look OK but I prefer something darker like the color of Continental Grand Prix Classics. I'm sure they'll get better looking with time.

Solid black tires look heavy and clunky on a vintage bike; they're fine on carbon bikes with a bulkier looking frame. The small diameter steel tubes on vintage bikes look delicate, sleek and light which the tan walled tires enhances. YMMV.
