Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I unfortunately forgot to mention two very important details about my ride yesterday.

I saw two kitties!

I also saw a muskrat.

Made me think that whoever named the muskrat must have been having a bad day. Unfortunate name for a cute little critter.

Little known fact, we're considering relocating to the Albany area, a Costco might be a deal closer.

Salt and pepper for fries. Haven't encountered a "mustard thing". Sandwiches are excellent with cheese and butter.

One of the kitties I saw yesterday was orange, the other was a very pretty grey.

The grey one was quite skittish.

What's your opinion on malt vinegar on fries?

I find it to be an abomination, personally.

I'm not big on mustard, it overpowers a hot dog. I eat hot dogs neat to enjoy . . . . the hot dog.

I would just like to say that I’ve enjoyed doing less of late, and just hanging out more. Getting up whenever, riding whenever, not much scheduled stuff, open blocks of time.

There is perhaps a life lesson here.

There is a place around here that insists that fries be served with vinegar. But I find the odor of vinegar to be disgusting, so I never eat their fries.

When I worked at WingStop, one of the morning tasks was making the ranch and blue cheese dressing.

If I remember correctly, the ranch was made using mayo and a proprietary seasoning packet.

The mayo came in a 1 gallon container, and I believe it was labeled "industrial mayonnaise".
