Which bike is better? Please help me decide!
First +1k$ bike purchase and want to make sure i get my moneys worth. Looking for and fitness/urban/freestyle/roadbike bike to cruse around Waikiki (pop wheelies, hop up curbs, haul ass) with the ability to install a small rack on back with a crate to get a bag of groceries here and there. I started with a skate board but bust my ass to much. 38, male, 215 lbs, 5'11'' in great shape. Looking at a BMC Alpenchallange AC02 1 or Cannondale bad boy 1, both 2019 models.
the Cannondale has 27.5 tires and the BMC a 29'er which is why Im considering it since taller tires seem like they would work better. What do you guys think would be better? Heard Cannondale has gone down hill a little. Is BMC legit? thanks

The main decision would seem to me to be suspension fork or not. If you want a suspension fork, then the cannondale. If not the BMC.

Few years back, BMC Alpenchallenges had issues with poorly built wheels that led to broken spokes. I mentioned on BF that a coworker, lighter than OP, kept having his break until the LBS rebuilt his wheel, and others chimed in with similar experiences. No idea if they improved the wheelset since.

You need to find a Schwinn Varsity on Craigslist and convert it to Fixed Gear/Singlespeed. With the $800 you will save, you can hit the pubs and take care of the ladies in style.
I have the updated version of this; a Bianchi San Jose and I put a rack on the back, too. I can pop wheelies, bunny hop curbs and haul ass all at the same time.
