SF Bay Area recommended shops for installation
I'm new to cycling and have been riding my Roubaix on and off for a few years now. I'm planning to get a power meter for my bike was wondering if anyone can recommend a good/decent shop that does good installations? Considering buying all the parts online and having a bike shop do the install.
Or would it be better to have the bike shop do everything from purchase to installation?
Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Lot's of people seem to use Mike's bike in palo atlo.
have you thought about using https://cycling.favero.com/assioma power pedals so you can just do the swap yourself and it's easy to transfer onto other bikes.
I like mine.

A buddy of mine recommended the Stages crankset. I'm currently using a Praxis Works crankset and was considering the 4iiii power meter.

Would you happen to know how's the quality of their installs/servicing? Reason I ask is because one of my friends bought a bike from a VERY well-known bike shop in the peninsula and the mechanics didn't even lube the bottom bracket for the crankset. On top of that, when he did a test ride, the stem was loose and he almost crashed leaving the shop.

I posted that, then I went to the site, and he's on vacation till the 8th! Still good shop. At least twice I've dropped by with issues, intending to leave the bike, and they fixed it while I waited.

not penisula but my go to shop for anything I can't do, don't have the tool or screwed up is Silva's Cycles in Campbell. They do old school, new school, fabrication (including frames) and Unicycles https://www.silvacycles.com/

Menlo Velo in Menlo Park. They are a Specialized dealer as well and are a great, experienced group of riders and do very good work.
