Rinko cut for fenders

Any one done this and have some good pics of the process. I would like to get another pair of velo-orange fenders and replace the front with a rear for longer coverage and use the other front to fit up for a rinko rear fender cut. This will be on my Centurion Pro-tour.

Peter Weigle has posted some clues as to how he does it: https://www.flickr.com/photos/493535...n/photostream/

I'm getting ready to do this myself. I'm using Peter Weigle's pics and others as a baseline, and I've ordered a Compass rinko fender nut. I don't think anyone's put together a good step by step procedure, I'll take pics and see if I can do one better.

Do you have a local shop that you can get VO parts from in Cambodia? I've heard that if you email them, they can sell you a single fender.

No shop here, but I order it and my daughter figures out a way to get stuff here. I travel here in Cambodia by taxi a lot and a rinko setup would be nice.

This is good info. I like using fenders so I clicked on the discussion and learned something. This would allow me to cut the fender if I need to make the bike more compact and then of course, get the full fender back on easily. Good idea. Although, all my fenders are plastic. I don't know how well that would work. At least I have the idea to store away until needed.
