Thanks for the info! They aren’t in bad shape, I was only going to replace them since I’m replacing the other cable and figured it would be a good time to do so.

But, I’ll let them ride for now. I was planning on going with kool stop pads. The originals are definitely shot. On my quick test ride around the block, it took about 10 ft to stop from a slow speed.

I’m excited to get this thing back on the road. Scouting eBay for deals on derailleurs and shifters thinking a decent Suntour VT Luxe or VX group will fit into the budget.

Slow going, first time it’s been all put back together in over a month. Left cables long since I don’t have the time today to do adjustments on derailleurs and brakes. Still quite a bit to do on it.
Nice to to see it coming together. Reaming the seat tube was a fun learning experience.
