I got a Charge Combo lock cable. 0000 code does not work.
i got from dicks the "charge" branded combo lock cable, on the label it says 0000 default, factory lock to unlock but when i align, it simply will not unlock. what is teh trick?

Some wiseguy beat you to it and changed the combo at the store
Return it
Also, those locks are pretty weak. I would not use that on a nice bike or anything you leave outside a long time. Very easy and fast to break into it

I wouldn't bother with a cable, a hand written sign that says "pretty please don't steal me" is way cheaper and the thief will probably pity you more. With a cable you are basically saying "please steal me but first a joke" especially in an urban area. If you want a lightweight lock that will give you a touch more protection go for the ABUS Bordo Lite, they make a combo version but the keyed version is more ideal especially if you have issues with opening combos.
