The statue, coincidentally called Saved by a Whale's Tale, had not been intended to actually save a train.

That'd be great in summer… when in fine weather. Bit chilly in winter though? Brrr!!
Actually, come to think of it… what's the bet that car only comes out on Sundays to go to ${RELIGIOUS_PLACE_OF_WORSHIP}? Why? It's a holy car!

Trying to see what's under the hood. Doesn't look like there's an engine in there.

Thin straps going through the car windows trying to hold 500 lbs of snowmobile in place on a thin sheet metal roof? Yeah, hit a good bump, brake normally, turn normally, and that snowmobile is going to shift hard and possibly come off the car or make the car uncontrollable. Which means the occupants of any other car behind or nearby are in real danger.
I don't know the law here, but stupid unsafe loads get stopped by cops here if cops are around to see it.

We should send this photo to the City of Stirling parking inspectors…
Not even parking inspectors are safe from wheel clamping with this City of Stirling ranger falling victim in Scarborough.(Supplied: Christy Phillips)

It's commonplace to have flying snowmobiles land on one's roof here.

My guess is the seatpost was just stuck in there for a joke, but I have no idea what the hole or those clear plastic tubes could be for
