It's been a good day

In addition to the good news on the telly, I had some not terribly fancy tea arrive from England today. When they passed the stimulus, I celebrated by buying a pound of (hopefully) good tea.

I get dvd's from Netflix. I am on the 5 at a time plan, and since I am watching 3 tv series, sometimes most of them are in the mail. Because of the holidays, I wound up with one dvd for a few days. A Grimm just showed up in the mail, so finally, something different. I know, you're dying to know what the other series is. I'll give you a hint, 7 of 9 just showed up.

Speaking of Netflix, I just started watching Giri/Haji. It is very well done, assuming it's your cuppa. A detective in Tokyo gets sucked into investigating a murder in London, very much against his wishes. This plot has been done before, but I am enjoying it thoroughly.

Another Nextflix gem is The Half of It, a clever coming of age Cyrano de Bergerac tale. I've watched it twice. I've talked about Sex Education before, but the writing is excellent, as is much of the acting.

We got our first gardening porn of the year today, the Baker Heirloom Seeds catalog. If you don't live where you get real winter, you won't understand. The funny thing is, I rarely start anything from seed now, I buy seedlings, but I still love the catalogs.

Georgia made it a good day, but DC is ruining it.

It's been 2-ish years since I've had NF. Nice to know that discs are still an option.

Voyager got much better with 7. More Borg = more fun. It would be way cool if they'd do a series from the vantage point of the Borg.

I've never ordered from Baker. But they have a good rep. I'll be winter-sowing another 30 or so milk jugs' worth of mostly native perennial flowers again. It's addictive.

It sucked, but good luck.

Do lots and lots of short sessions. When I got in trouble, I bought a used gym treadmill that had a tv in it. Most people don't use their treadmills, I watched the morning news on it this morning after breakfast. It was expensive, but it was worth it.

Thanks. At this point I am not allowed to put any weight on it. Lots of pain but I'm doing better than my buddy who had a lesser injury that happened months before mine. He said I'm progressing faster than he is.

It took five weeks before I could put weight on my leg after knee surgery. Keep at the PT as it will make you better in the end. Best wishes, MH

I am on the 5 discs at a time plan with Netflix, for the first time since I signed up, I have no discs. Netflix sent me a disc 8 days ago, it hasn't come. It used to take 3 days, if one comes manana it will have been 9 days.

Is your mail as screwed up as mine?
