I don't think you can keep up. We've got Bubbas too. And we have a lot more miles of beaches, which means more tourists and more parties. The beach crowds are folks who want this all to be over and they think the best way to do that is to just pretend it's over. As one said "everywhere we went was packed and no one was wearing masks. Everything was back to normal. It was great!"

I’m afraid we will be runner up on this one but Texas gave it a great shot, There is always next season.. We will learn from the mistakes we made so that next time we will be #1. I should have listened to our lieutenant governor and sacrificed myself and some elderly relatives to save our state. I’m going to drink more beer and grow a beer belly and buy those 12 pack of cheap tank tops from the Walmart so I can become part of the #1 team.

I have been there a few times and can’t imagine 7500 crammed in their with no precautions. I just don’t understand why some people refuse to do the right things to get this virus under control. I don’t particularly like social distancing and wearing a mask having to talk through layers of glass but I’m doing it.

I was there in 2015 during a bike tour. It was a random day in June. I nearly lost my eyes thanks to selfie sticks. I suspect they will all be packed in the amphitheater. The streets of Keystone were packed enough. This is going to be a mess. BTW...Did you hear that Herman Caine has the virus and is in the hospital? He was at the Tulsa gathering.

Yes. I cruised the Mickelson Trail when I there. Like you said the towns in the area are packed, walking up and down the streets all day. Unfortunately people are going to catch covid during this gathering. Herman thought nothing of this a now he is ill. Doesn’t make much sense..

I don't think anybody thinks it's fun and I'd like to go out and listen to some live music and see friends and all that, but this stuff is serious and we all should be willing to do our parts. So, yeah, you're exactly right.

Yup, I agree. I have tickets to some concerts all rescheduled to 2021. I had a great 2020 planned then this covid thing happened. But I know as a people what we need to do.

Maybe where you live. I voted by mail (dropped the ballot in a lock box at election headquarters) and got a notice the same day that my vote had been counted.

Yup, I understand the disappointment we all like to party. But for the one time we can do the right thing called sacrificing a party or two. My grandmother lived to 102 many true historic recollections of the Great Depression then living through WW2 were a lot of boys/men lost theirs lives that she knew. We have the same type of situation today and we need to deal with it like they did. 200,000 dead soldiers from WW2 this virus is going to surpass any war. But we will just google for answers and wait for the idiot box to tell us how to think. Ok I will STFU y’all be safe and hit the roads and trails.

States handle mail ballots differently. In the recent NY primary, absentee ballots needed to be postmarked by election day but did not need to be received until a week later and, if I understand correctly, no mail-in votes in NY got counted until then. I think that with the likely great increase in absentee voting this year that we should expect results in some close elections to be later than what we've become used to.
