Could use some outside opinions regarding bike options

Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Could use some outside opinions regarding bike options

Some bikes, like the GT Grade, use a thru axle on the fork and a quick release on the rear, which I think is fine, if not quite as desirable as thru axles all around. That would certainly keep the trainer situation simpler.
