Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That’s what they used down at V Tech wasn’t it? I think you score the helmet by the longest splatter radius.

My shoulder is a little less sore today so I am going to try an easy 30 mile recovery/cafe ride. I hope my water balloon does not pop!

I may go helmet shopping later today. Although I am usually thrifty, I will likely splurge and get a BIG $ helmet. Most likely the Prevail II MIPS, assuming fit is same as the Prevail it’s replacing.
kudos

I dreamt that I was finally convinced to buy a single side power meter. The convincing blow came when the crank arm foleded up and grabbed my foot to prove it was working.

Weekly 100km in the bag - the streak continues. More importantly, this gives me another 3000 calories to play with for the party this afternoon.

Was ok. Shoulder hurts just a little. Of course halfway into the ride my RD cable breaks so I did the last half of the ride in the small cog in back.

But still was good.

So I came home and mowed the front. Then went to fix stupid RD cable. I pulled a new cable off the pegboard and after some hassle, I managed to get broken cable out and new cable threaded. I run cable down towards RD and suddenly run out of cable. WTF?

I am such an idiot. I grabbed a FD cable. Sad!

The rain continues. Sweet, sweet rain. And yard work. Sweet, sweet yard work. I will begin building up one, or both of the new frame sets a little later on.

Made it home alive, but boy was it hot and stinky on Friday afternoon.

Will post some pics later. Need to get the bike box, racks and stove to the LBS.

Kudos on keeping the water balloon intact for another ride!

You could have tied off th cable for a slightly easier gear, but you are to hard to do such things.
