Looking for some help choosing a bike...
I am in my mid 30s, wife has an electra cruiser and initially I considered just getting one of them, but now I am thinking I might want more versatility.
I am looking at the following bikes:
Electra Townie (I know its not really a hybrid)
Specialized Crossroads
Specialized Roll Sport
Specialized Sirrus
Trek Verve
There are so many options my head is spinning. I just want to tool around town with the wife and sometimes baby on the bike. Maybe go into the park here and there but mostly roads with some moderate hills.
Can anyone comment on the difference between the Specialized roll/crossroads? I like the matte black/grey look they offer. Any suggestions would be great.

The Roll, Crossroads and Trek Verve are more of what is described as a Comfort Bike. The Sirrus is what would be considered a Hybrid/Fitness bike. Basically, the comfort bikes are going to be a little heavier, have wider tires, lower end components and usually used for shorter rides. That's not to say you can't put 20 miles on one, they're just heavier and will take more effort. The Sirrus comes in about a million configurations. It will be lighter and you can buy a model at the price point that fits your wallet.

I really like that Specialized Roll Sport. It looks very comfortable. I have a Dual Sport 2 (2019 trek model), I really love it. It has plenty of gearing for any hills and terrain, front shock for comfort (with a lock-out feature for speed). Affordable, decent components that I haven't had any issues with, and I couldn't be happier. I personally can't speak about the other models as I have never ridden them but I'm sure any of the picks will suit you just fine.

So I wound up ordering a roll sport in medium (I am 5’10” and was between medium and large)
I test road a bunch today and I’m still not 100% on it but too late now. I rode several versions of the specialized crosstrail today which I didn’t know existed. I almost went that route but wasn’t as comfortable as the roll. It did seem faster though.

None of my LBS have Crossroads available. I went with a Roll but thinking I may have been better off with a Crossroads if I was able to ride one. They put me on several Crosstrails as an alternative.

so a similar bike by another brand and model name .. ?/
It's a crowded market place , quite consolidated , where a lot of brands
are made by very few OEM contract multiple brand making factories..
a Specialized brand bike retails thru a 'specialized' dealer shop.
Electra is distributed by Trek, through their dealer network ..
Pick a bike shop you like.. then get a bike there..
(which I guess you did)

may just not be in their inventory but maybe in the importer's regional warehouses ..
or in a marine shipping container in the port of entry awaiting customs clearance..
