I think we've had it for freezing temps here in the midwest (Chicago area). Anyone else concur??

Winter is definately over for me! I went for a 2hrs ride yesterday and today also for the first time in 2006! It was -5 celsius, but I was properly protected from the cold and the sun was shining! Woooohooooooo 9 more months of cycling before winter!!

March and April are the months we get the most snow in Colorado. It snowed most of the day today. The pavement was warm, so it all melted, but there's a glaze on a lot of the roads, now that it's getting colder. Not too bad to keep me from biking in the morning though.

I have noticed Chicago always seems to be the opposite weather year after year. If you remember last year, it was cold until the end of April. So, I think it will get warmer earlier this year (starting now?).

This is the time of year I start dressing for the temperature I wish it was, instead of actually is.

I usually end up the winter season with a Fourth of July ski trip on Mount Adams, a Northwest volcano with one of the 50 classic ski descents in North America.

'winter' might be coming to a close, but the skiing's usually still good till then!

I think the Northwest will see slight amounts of lowland snow around Portland and Seattle by the weekend.

I'm going to do a bike-n-ski blitzkreig tour this month. Maybe this weekend.

No, I don't. In fact if you check the 10-day forecast for the Chicago area, there's snow forecast for next Tuesday. Nope, we're in for at least one more big blast before the end of March.

March will be March. Up here its 46° right now, but there's a predicted low of 18° coming up next week. I bet I have to snowblow one more time (though only had to twice this year).

I'm siding with Machka YEAH RIGHT

It might be warm now. The next thing is a huge dumping of snow with cold temps. We won't get out of winter that easy.

Yeah, there's a haze of green in the trees now. It's time to put away the studded tires, and leave the Winter Cycling forum for the annual migration over to touring. See everyone in the fall.

Just because winter seems to be over, doesn't mean that summer will arrive before mid July !

Upper 60s yesterday and snowing this morning. Winter isn't yet ready to release it grasp. The 10day has snow until next Monday. After that I would put it better than 50% we won't see any more snow, but you never can tell.

We got 8-12" of the white stuff yesterday. Now everything is buried in slush.

I hope that was the last of it.

Hmmm.. another 4-6 predicted here. The snow we've received this week probably exceeds what we've received all winter.

I love winter. I love my Lake MXZ-301's. They're super toasty.

It is STILL not over here. I'm starting to panic a bit about my March century!! I figured it would be no problem at all, but I'm actually faced with worse weather now than I was in December, January, or February.
