BMX OG's were regulars of this forum in the '06-09 period.

I am OG. Raced from '80 to about '86, and rode BMX way before that. First race bike was an R&R, then upgraded to an SE Racing Quadangle and Landing Gear fork in '81. Still have the frame and fork.
Here is a pic of it last year after I rebuilt it.

WTP/gnr/anyone else who is actually old, this thread should almost just be closed. No one reads any of the previous or first posts to know that its for the guys who were here back when we were.

And to the guys who weren't around back then and are posting here, I'm not trying to sound like an ass. This is just a 'reunion thread' for the guys who have been members of this forum for a long time, not just people who have ridden BMX for a long time.

Well I raced from 80 to 86 and was 15 when I started. However I haven't posted much on this forum therefore I shall read only... I am assuming OG was not just a term but an actual group. Sorry for the mix up.

Sort of a group. Just a bunch of the guys who used to post here when the BMX sub-forum was really active. I miss those days.

Not too much, just finishing up Spring Break. Tomorrow, I head back to hell and torture as a pharmacy major, haha. How are you? Still riding? This place really died.

And to all the OG's out there, I looked back at some of my older posts the other day and I really have to apologize for being such an ******* to just about all of you. It was a tough time for me and I was a dick to just about everyone on these forums. I'm really not sure why I was made a mod with an attitude like that. I doubt any of you guys are still around, but if you are, I'm sorry.

I haven't been riding my BMX much lately, more my fixed gear. Just dealing with school and all that good old bull****. And don't apologize for being an ass back then, you should head to ssfg and see what happens to some new guys there. I got ripped apart right away too. Fun place to be!

06 to 09, sounds about right. I was on this forum a decent bit. Life was simpler as a teenager, but I wouldn't want to relive those years again.

Do the rest of you guys still have BMX bikes? I left mine at the first apartment complex I moved out of here in SD, the guy charged me $25 for 'bike disposal' when I got the post-lease bill. Sometimes I wonder what he did with it? Would have been a shame if he just threw it in one of the dumpsters. I didn't really take much care of it towards the end, though, so no huge loss.

I don't even know what ssfg is.. and the apology was definitely necessary haha.

That sucks dude. I gave up riding when I was heading off to college. Some days I wish I still had my bike, but after I gave it up and couldn't play baseball anymore, I haven't gotten hurt. Now I'm more into lifting and I'm better at that than I ever was at BMXing.

I'm finishing up my first professional year in, so I'll be done with 3/6 years in a little over a month from now. Whatcha selling these days?

Wow FitRider, WTP, and MadMan make an appearance. This is craziness. This place used to be awesome and always filled with threadjackings and ******* comments that made it what it was. I miss those days. I still ride constantly, racing mostly. Going to Gettysburg College in the fall for pre-med/optometry, planning on bringing my street bike for something to do.

i'm 22 and would consider myself a young OG as far as bmx goes. i've been riding bmx since i was about 5 or 6. i was there when bikes weighed 50lbs, the seats were high, and the sprockets had more teeth than a human head.

You'll get bored quickly with what's in that area for Street.

No parks around there? At least here, in this podunk little town, we have a skatepark a few miles from campus.

WOW, I'm surprised to still see so many names i recognize. Glad to see some people still frequent these forums.

I'm still riding here and there, but mostly spending all my time with school and my car. Riding has been on the backburner for some time now but I've recently been getting some more free time.
