take everything off: i.e. wheels, cranks/sprocket/chain, bars/forks, and remember to cover up your BB bearings and headset bearings. and dont forget to sand your frame down first. all you really need to do.

i usually just use spray paint. and if you want your frame flat black, then just buy flat black paint. its real simple. just make sure to do several coats.

Yea, I just got a 2004 DK 4-pack and it's tan. I don't like it. Flat black looks awesome and I might also get some red and paint the cross on my chain wheel.

I painted some stuff using Krylon fusion and that stuff is great. Just sand the stuff with 400 grit sand paper and do a coat of paint every 5 minutes for like 5 times. You will be satisfied, beleive me. You can get the paint at Wally world

NO you want to buy a RED SCUFF PAD (if the paint is decent if not strip it down and sand the rust off) and some self etching primer! take everything off the bike and scuff the whole thing then dust in the self etching primer... You wasnt KRYLON Flat black BBQ paint or Flat black engine paint! this turns out the best... Buy 600+ grit paper and slowly sand down rough spots in between coats.
Begin:
Stripped and sanded:
Primer:
Paint:
Think i might make a decent how to the next time im painting
*spray paint is not spraypaint* The hightemp and auto stuff holds up better if krylon BBQ is durable and flat.

Just make sure you primer it. It helps a lot with the paint sticking to the metal.

NJ that looks dope dude. and i know that auto paint works best, but ive had some decent experiences with some really cheap paint. all i did was prime it first, and it turned out fine.

15 and being forced to play football? just tell your dad to shove it and then hop on your bike and go cruise for a while.
