How early do you ride?
It’s really hot here in Texas with heat index values around 115-120. It stays hot after dark.
I am thinking about getting out at sunup or just after. It is bearable until around noon.

I commute, so I hit the road at 7:00 - 7:15am. At my old job I left the house at 7:30-7:45. But sometimes...

I try to leave around 2pm. Lately it has been getting mid-50°s by then.
Fri + Sat ride selfies w wool & tights.

I still ride midday no matter the temperature. Early mornings the air is too humid and to me it just feels more stifling. By 11:00am, the humidity is usually lower. Here where I am at, there are tall pines on either side of the roads I travel. So maybe the shade I can get makes a difference compared to where others are.
More often than not, my start time is also around 2:00pm. Even when it's been near 100°F actual temps. Though so far, not this year...yet.

Well, since I'm up at 4am every day for no apparent reason - weekends, when I ride on the roads, I am out at first light. This gives me cool(er) temps and near zero traffic.

I am an early bird for sure I hit the road as early as 4:39 am and a start after 7am is consider late. The wind usually much better and less traffic I have good lights and try to stay on course I know well before light. I do this even in winter and come is sometimes as sun is rising from a 50 mile ride.

I wish our mornings were cool. We are waiting for the humidity to burn off. Walking out the door in the mornings feels like walking into a sauna.

I trail ride these days and am a morning person. So I tend to get out early year round. In the hotter weather I like to ride predawn with a helmet mounted light. I might get half or all of my ride in before it gets light out this time of year. In the cooler weather I am likely to head out at sunrise or a bit later.

Grew up in the South, USA - however, left side coastal is most conducive to year-round cycling (for me). Santa Cruz was about perfect. Skiing is so close to Seattle that reduced Winter riding allows my favorite alternatives.

Back when I was commuting, I started at about 5:15 daily, and rode home at about 5 PM. That meant a lot of great sunrises and sunsets.
Now that I am mostly retired ... Yikes. The earliest I get out there is 7AM, and at times, closer to 9AM. No more sunrises or sunsets, but at least, it's warmer.

My main club which I have been riding with for 34 years starts all rides at 8:00. Another club I sometimes ride with varies between 7:00 and 8:30. My Tuesday group starts at 9:00 but if it gets hot we might begin at 8:00.
If it's hot and I am riding alone I might start at 7:00 but I don't obsess over it. I usually acclimate to heat pretty well and I don't do the long climbing rides like I used to.

That's winter for me, but I wait until it's at least 65.
I'm not an early riser so I seldom get started before 10 am. Often more like noon. In the summer I love riding in the heat so I don't mind 95 degrees at all. With the humidity here it seldom gets much warmer than that, Many years ago I lived in Tucson, AZ where 105+ was common. With the dry air that didn't feel any hotter than 95 in Florida.
(Living in the Florida panhandle it's colder than the rest of the state in the winter and generally warmer in the summer.)
