Not cheap.
$308 for the super deluxe and $150 for the wheelmaster, actually very reasonable for handmade bags

i could probably do something like the stem work but would rather do it by abrasive etching rather than grinding stuff off of the stem..... the last thing i'd like to do is get stabbed in the ding dong by a jagged broken off stem as i fall in front of my own tire, however the visual would be pretty f-ing funny.

Now that i think of it I've seen some old Zippo lighters that were hand etched w/ nothing but a small pick and a hammer + a shiz load of spare time. That might do the trick w/o creating stress risers

$308 is almost double the cost of a Reload Courier Deluxe, and the Resistant bags seem to lack some standard-issue amenities like straps on the flap and a sternum/waist strap. That being said, they are frigging gorgeous, and I'm definitely considering buying one.

A few facts from the folks at Resistant:

It does not have a chest strap.
But,RESISTANT's belt is flexible, and it fits a body.

2) Are there straps on the main flap to keep the bag closed when it
is very full?

Speedster has an inner bag.
When a load is full, an inner bag extends to the top.
There is a buckle in the inside of a flap, and a strap of a bag is fixed.

3) Do you have plans to make a backpack?
Sorry, I have no plans.

And, I do not customize it basically.

And,sorry, We have not sold a bag to overseas until now.
However, we are going to sell them to overseas from now on.
We are just going to investigate sea mail etc.
Please wait a little longer.

You are contacted from us.

Thanks.

i think this is one of those things you have to see in person to appreciate because from the pictures and video it just like the bars have been scribbled on.

I'm reviving this thread because, well, I'd probably gnaw off my own hand to get my hands on one of these bags. Anyone manage to get one?

I've been in contact with Resistant about ordering one.
I received the following info about having a Speedster (the slightly less enormous version of the Super Deluxe) shipped to Canada:

The price for Speedster is 31,000 yen.(Tax goes without it)
An amount of money in total is 36,450 yen.

I make it after money arrived.
It takes around 2 months to completion.

A rate is advance payment.
Please send it in Japanese Yen exchange from a post office.
So that's about $309, shipped.

Wheelmaster's smaller, I believe, so it'll be a tad cheaper. Worth it to me.

Cute bags, but they look more fashionista than utilitarian.

Those bags seem nice, although they are 'not my bag' as it were... I'm glad that I bought my bags locally. I'm sure the Japanese versions of me are buying bags locally as well. We save shipping fees and keep it in the family that way. My bag was delivered to my LBS by bicycle too which beats 'sea mail'. Turnaround time from when I sent them my custom deisgn, to having my bag in hand was little more than a week, and I paid less than $150CAD for it. Still though, if you like em, nothing is stopping you!

Don't get me wrong. I've had my chrome for 5 years or so (Black buckle) and I love it to death, but these bags look super, super clean. If I had the sewing skills, I'd want to put together a bag exactly like the resistant ones. No buckles, doohickeys, obtrusive logos, etc--and they're super minimal and tight to the back. I actually have a pretty good collection of bags (all local), but the cleaner and simpler the lines are, the more likely I am to wear it and use it constantly (that and water resistance). It's alot like a fixed wheel bike, IMO. Spartan, clean, simple, etc.
