Nice work. I just started on a Raleigh Grand Prix ('74, manufactured by Gazelle in Holland) that was given to me. I think I will be going with a single speed coaster, but I have a lot to learn and many decisions yet to make.

My new touring bike is the Wagon Queen Family Truckster and it does say Clark W. Griswold on the side. Unfortunately they couldn't do the logo panels in wood grain and I don't have the cash for a custom paint job but I think it is cool still.
My plan is to get a diecast car and hollow it out and clearcoat it and mount it on my stem.
I haven't taken any more recent photos but she is almost done.

I thought about making this have a coaster brake. I was watching a lot of youtube videos on how to replace wheels. Maybe I'll do the next one as a coaster brake. The part is pretty cheap on ebay.

It started out as a Fixie. I was having a very difficult time riding it. I was practicing, but, I'm and idiot and the free spin of the pedals, was like trying to walk and chew gum for me, lol. The front brake seems okay. I've riding it around and don't have a stopping issue. I was actually thinking of buying a coaster brake. Seems to me that a coaster brake is as effective as just one front brake, and it would give it the clean look I'm going for.

Coaster brakes are a very poor choice and are only suitable for beach cruisers. They are very hard to modulate and either don't provide much braking power or lock up the rear wheel. They force you to keep pedaling until the cranks are horizontal before you can apply the brake by backpedaling, and when at a stop you can't move the pedals to a good position for starting off again. Also, a rear brake is NEVER a substitute for a front brake, regardless of the type of drivetrain. I think a nice classic centerpull rear brake caliper would look great in that bike.
