Does anyone know what this is? (framebuilder) A reverse GIS only produces the tumblr that this exact image came from, and on there it's just an uncommented link to directly to the image.

(And, no, I can not make out the lettering on the downtube, nor do I recognize it)

The DA is nice bit of they had done it in and out of logo it would have been more pleasing. However the newest DA gruppo is sexy as hell.

I bought new Ultegra 6800 for the rig I'm building, cranks, brakes and all. The DA is sexy as hell, but a plebeian like myself has a hard time justifying the cost for the marginal gains over the Ultegra.

Also that crank is hawt.

There's nothing wrong with ultegra or even 105. Those are great groups which do rub elbows with previous gen DA sets and tech.

I havent bothered to check their social media but MASH has a cinelli cockpit and a set of their black record pista cranks sent to an engraving craftsman. I've seen the finished cockpit in person and it's equally drool-worthy.

Good to know about 105. I have a lot of experience with both Dura Ace and Ultegra, and the Red, Force and Rival offerings of Sram.

I plan on purchasing one of the used 2016 Venge Elites that were loaned to the cat 1's on my team this year and racing on it for 2017 and beyond. I'll swap out the wheels, bars and stem, but I'm thinking that the 105 will be good enough for me to not bother switching.

Yup, with the progression of bike tech and the trickle down effect of group hierarchies, I found myself having to replace some borked 7800 levers with new 10 spd 105 ones (ultegra & DA had the 11's at this point).
It was a whole lot cheaper and faster as the second hand market demanded premium for mint replacements and DA stuff usually gets well-ridden by 1st owners.

With that move not only were the annoying side routing shifter cables gone but the 105 shifters shifted better than the 7800 levers ever did.

If you're going to race with 105, you might find yourself desiring more as far as performance goes. I think ultegra is the sweet spot for the budget conscious sportive rider.

Personally, Yuck for me. Too ornate/busy. Reminds me of an attention starved cowboy's belt buckle.

What's with his hat? Is it supposed to catch rain water and pour it on his... buckle?

Those hats do a good job protecting your face, ears, and neck from the sun during a long hot day roping cattle out on the prairie.

Not sure why you'd need one sitting behind a mixing panel while sipping a Pellegrino. I guess even hillbillies can be slaves to fashion.

Also, cowboy boots aren't all that comfortable. Which is why crocs exist.

In 1949 they understood that taping upright bars all the way to the stem was the correct technique.

Malvern Star. I'd never heard of this Australian bike company before. Founded in 1902, they are sorta Australia's Schwinn.

Check out this modded up 1970 cruiser. Even if it's not your style, there's no arguing the attention to detail.

A lugged beach cruiser? Wild.

That looks like it should have polished box-section rims. Otherwise, it's perfect.

I agree. The crank is out of place too, for my tastes anyway.
