not having toe overlap is a big red flag. im not asking for silly steep track angles, but you cant avoid toe overlap without going under 72.0 degrees in front.

preedit:

actually a taller bottom bracket will necessitate an even shallower headtube to avoid overlap.

post:

that front geometry is disappointing below the 55.

I've got a 51 and a 58 sitting right in front of me. I don't find anything wrong with either one. Then again, I'm not particularly fond of tight track geo.

58s look grand. the 51 doesnt make sense. its low and very long at only 15mm shorter than the 58 but with an overly pedestrian headtube angle and a seat tube angle idiotic in the other direction! i too dislike track geometry, but this isnt it anyway.

My 49cm Leader 721tr has a 74 degree ht angle and a relatively high BB, yet there is very little toe overlap. The reason is a long tt. Similarly, my 49cm Kilo WT has a 72.5 degree ht angle, yet it has no toe overlap even with 700x32c tires. It also has a long tt, and a fork with a longer axle to crown distance. My point is that one can't infer anything specific to frame geometry simply based on the amount of toe overlap or absence thereof.

i look for a steep enough head tube angle as well as a short top tube. you cant have both without overlap with 700cs. therefore, lack of overlap in small sizes is a preliminary red flag.

id rather have the steering geometry correct like your frames than an artificially shortened top tube via slackening, but id much rather have both right.

the definitions of short and long top tubes are of course relative, but ours are about the same.

I bought a 725tr in October or early November last year and it has just been hanging in my closet, looking at me with very sad eyes every time I opened the door to grab a jacket. I took the decals off almost as soon as i got it, so I figured the place I bought it from wouldn't take it back. I've been debating just selling it to buy a different frame (less aero). Before selling I decided to contact Leader and see if they would be so nice as to take a trade (along with some extra cash) so I could get a 722ts instead. They agreed to a trade as long as I pay shipping.

Awesome.

Well I guess this benefits them as that's 1 less more expensive 2011 725 to send the way for a warranty claim.
WIN nonetheless.

happy is saying that instead of sending a more expensive 2011 725 to fulfill a warranty issue, Leader can send someone Pan's 2010.

Is it just me or did leader change the S805 fork and if so then why? It looks a little different then last years model, at least to me it does. I might be mistaken though :/

Pretty sure it's exactly the same. It was the full-carbon I806TR that has gone through some changes.
