That's a different carbon fork. Pretty sure he was asking about the Leader S805.

wish the raw wasn't so close to my Mash color, should've gone histogram! that raw is such a beauty

I'm leaning towards the blue with a chrome fork like a member here has. of course that means I'll need to pick up a silver seatpost somewhere! oh and now I feel like I need some wheels with that coupon going active at midnight! Not a big fan of the black with the blue, but I can't find a damn 722TS with a blue fork, everyone seems to go chrome.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SCROD

w00t. Picked up a Chrome Anza. Though my wife doesn't understand why I chose that over the $25 old navy windbreaker. My only retort is that the Anza is made in America, so I'm doing my patriotic duty. Ah well.

Probably got an earlier batch! Not like it matters too much though. Even thought some stuff Chrome has that's produced in China it's not like the quality wen't down under too much. Doubt you'd noticed much difference.

You're probably right. It seems that the Chicago Chrome store doesn't cycle through inventory as quickly.

Oddly, my Kurks show ZERO problems that people complain about (soles falling apart, heel cup separating)..maybe I got a pair from a good batch.

And Chrome's China stuff isn't bad by any means, IMHO. I've got a Chinese made Yalta that I don't wear anymore since I got a MW Vandal, but the Yalta is sewn and made as nicely as a $120 roll-top bag could be.

good deals at City Grounds on bags... $84 for a Chrome Citizen, Manhattan Portage bags for $39, and Mission Workshop backpacks starting at $105. other stuff on sale too.

Coghouse has some steals on Leader... 721 TR V2.5 with I806A (aluminum) fork for $199, 722 TS for $149, and a 722 bundled with a S803 for $199.

Bicycle packs are one of those rare opportunities where you absolutely have a chance to support the best designs and American shops.
I absolutely refuse to buy anything other than a Made in the USA bag because 1. they are the best designs 2. they directly support US sba's

Not judging others on their choices- I have a MP bag, which I think is made in China. Many times, you have no choice. So, I'm not throwing stones. BUT, I've learned more since that purchase and absolutely will not buy anything but USA. In this instance, I really hope others think about it and do the same.

It's one of those great win-win scenarios.

(I do have Chrome products- Chinese made and otherwise- but won't buy their bags because I also noticed the made in China label)

Wait - you won't buy a bag made in America because the company has other products made in Asia? What?

I can guarantee that Mission Workshop (I assume you meant MW, not 'MP') uses buckles, straps, and fabrics made in China. In reality, it's only assembled here, and it's really hard to avoid Asia all together.

Yeah, even Rickshaw--the San Fran based bag maker--admits that their bags are made of materials often manufactured in China. However, they also claim they they look for the best working conditions in which to get their materials made.

many of Chrome's bags are "made in China". I have no problem with that. I just won't buy them.

I have a Manhattan Portage bag, which I think is Made in China (not sure, the only labels on it don't indicate).

Within the small world of bike specific bag makers, there are stellar sba companies where the money goes to support a USA company.
If the concept is unimportant to you, than ok.
I simply ask that people consider it as I have found this market niche to be one where you can directly support US sba's.

I'm not making judgements on others' purchase decisions.
