New pictures of my Raleigh DL-1

Once you ride a DL-1 all other cruisers become insignificant

I'd have given cashews for that! What a snag. Nice going, Pozello.

So

who's going to be the first and tell me the fork is bent???

I got the Raleigh bug a few years ago restoring my father's old Sports, but these roadsters are in a league of their own - now I just need to find a full chaincase!

That is gorgeous. I would be hesitant to even ride it. I got a DL1 about a month ago, great riding bikes. Mine has a lot more character (CHIPS AND RUST) than yours.

Beautiful! As others have said, mine is a lot more "aged" than yours. Still, there is nothing like the ride of a DL-1. It feels so dreamy and relaxing.

+1, it is very different from any other style of bike I have ridden. It's probably the least practical bike that I own, but is just very enjoyable to ride. It's the perfect change of pace, it keeps things fun and interesting.

Oh, I would ride it in a heartbeat. I realize that would kill it's NOS value, but I wouldn't care one bit.

I took it to Marinoni (a local frame builder in Montreal) to make sure the frame and fork were perfectly aligned. I've ridden it a few times - PURE BLISS . But I'll never forget the first ride when I almost slammed into an opening car door! I was lucky it only grazed my leg - I could never have gotten over totaling a brand new Raleigh Tourist!

After my near hit, I picked one up from ftwelder with a few scars I could use as a commuter

Except for a little crazing on the fenders it really isn't too shabby
