Picked up a new bike this week - Domane SL 5 Gravel (wearing skinny tires in this pic). Same frame as the Domane SL5 Disc, so it'll only accommodate 35s or so, so some might not consider it a "true" gravel bike, but I have a Hannjo if I really need 40s, so whatever. As spec'd, it's an awesome value and I got a nice sale price on top of that. Still waiting on a stem before I chop the steerer.

Stem replaced, steerer chopped, found some awesome bars at an even better price and finally got out to ride it -
New saddle is on the way (thankfully).

OK, generically speaking, what style/bend are they?

Oops, I messed up the nomenclature - VR-CF stand for Variable Radius, Compact Flare. So they're compact, they bend somewhat more tightly at the start and then curve mellows out, all with a little flare to the outside (which I've come to like). Bontrager seems to have the same shape available at various pricepoints/materials.
The red stuff is some supposedly magical padding.

What do you guys think, should I paint the fork matte black? I think it would look better but the "mustard" color has a certain charm.

How are you liking those Hunts? I'm kinda hoping my stock wheels are problematic so that I can pick up some Hunts (or similar) for the knobbies (I have some Reynold's for skinnier tire duty).

The freehub body wobbles when you pedal, and also when I just rotate the axle with my hand... Causes the cassette to wobble side to side, this is exaggerated because of the big 42T cassette. (I'm a 100% sure it's not the cassette, I took it off and when I rotate the axle I can feel the freehub body moving around.)
Sometimes there is a super loud "click" that comes from the rear wheel when I start pedalling after coasting for a while.
The rim joint could be better, and the wheels could have been a bit more true out of the box.
When I got them I took them offroad about 5 times (the bike has 38mm tyres in summer mode), and even after that short period I discovered 3 little dings on the rim sidewalls already.
I'm not going to say that they're all crap wheels, I haven't sent mine back for warranty yet because I wanted to ride my bike as much as possible. Hunt did send me a new axle and freehub body, but it didn't solve the rear hub problem sadly.
Overall tho... I think next time I would spend just a bit more money and get a better quality MTB wheelset with a lower profile rim.
Oh and thanks for the input guys, I think colonel mustard is staying.

Well that's disappointing but very helpful. Thanks! Maybe I'll lean towards another DIY with some Hydras or something.

My wheelset could be just one in a million... If everything works perfectly they could be a pretty good wheels for the price. But because of the dings on the sidewall that I have on both wheels already I would call them more like a tough road wheelset.

Picked up a Colnago A1R CX to open up all roads! Currently has Kenda Kwicker 32Cs. Handled great off road, a little slow on pavement. Got some Speed Cross 35Cs to help close the gap.

Stock Giant TCX Advanced SX 2018 (cheap flats for today because my other pedals haven't come in yet, and it's too cold to ride in my road shoes anyway).
My first new bike (like, actually new from a bike shop) since a CCM mountain bike in junior high.
