What about a plastic kiddie pool or plastic drain pan? You could tie a couple drain pans together.

I do have a garden hose— and a driveway and a yard— but it’s not of use in the winter, so I also have a pump garden sprayer and a bicycle repair stand to use in the above-freezing garage for winter bike cleanup:

It works pretty well in the garage, too, because the spray is quite fine but focused, so it precisely wets the bits you want and doesn’t use much water, so it’s not so messy. Yeah, the floor gets wet and dirty, but it’s not a problem for my plain concrete floor. If I had a nice garage floor, though, I can see the appeal of using a catch basin.

I can't believe I couldn't resist watching a chaadster YouTube video of him washing a bike in the winter.
My lack of restraint is frustrating.

I did enjoy he slowmo action shot when cleaning the rear brake. Cinematic genius- Spielberg should take notes.

that's better than me using my garden sprayer outside on a cold day, when the water just freezes on contact, even if I start w/ warm water
