At least until it got posted around Kidding, but what I typically see with these and older VAR tools (two separate things, same behavior) is someone will toss in one bid early on in hopes nobody notices it and they win cheap, and after 2-3 days when everyone's followed searches alert them to it a lot will start to lurk as watchers, and in the last 3 hours down to the last two seconds bids will start flying like mad and that price will triple.

(I had this in my eBay watch list via following alerts, been looking for one under $30 for a couple of years now - that and good Simplex seat post binder bolts)

Opps sorry.. didn't mean to be a spoiler. What's the politically correct thing to do?

There isn't one that I know of, really, I was kidding. Sorry, probably not enough smileys in my post. Tendonitis creeping back up in my shoulder and it hurts to type today

Confidentially everyone, some years ago on Ebay UK, I got some Stronglight extractor, was someone making them themselves? And it was not that JA Stein extractor but I think it was basically this style: JA Stein Crank Puller for classic Stronglight or TA Cranks So maybe look out to see if someone might be selling an unmarked type of extractor. But the one in the above ad is a true extractor.

That Colnago sat in direct sunlight long enough to bleach the color out of the paint. Check out the shadowing on the top tube from the brake cable and clamps.

If I were a good 6 inches taller, I would consider the drive to Tucson for this. I like these 80s faded paint jobs

Good eye -- though one might credibly argue that it then puts it squarely in line with Colnago's own "Decor" paint schemes

I'd prolly have that mini merckx were it nearby. Though haven't spent that much for a bike since the 80s. Need to stop checking this thread before it gets me in trouble..

Probably too much money to be a great deal, but people seem to like these.

Miyata six-ten touring bicycle

Miyata six-ten touring bicycle - $500 (new canton)

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: miyata
model name / number: six ten

Miyata six ten, 1980s touring bicycle. A real Japanese beauty with friction shifters, buted frame. I had it tuned about a year ago and it has been garage kept; getting rid of it because it doesn't get ridden. comes with michelin tires and a set of kendas- both like new. SKS fenders installed. Original aluminum rack. Saddle pictured is included for an extra $30.

I hate it when the seller doesn't list a price but this is a pretty nice bike, a late '90s ti Schwinn Paramount built up with 9-speed Chorus

Possible Publicity Ad Bike. New England

I'd say buyer beware here, $50 for a St. Germain (liquer) publicity bike with a real Brooks leather saddle but would be nice if it pans out.

Boston CL, St Germain messenger bike with kickstand

But if one websearches for photos of the bike, despite the poor picture, it looks like this, perhaps the original ad meant $500.

Doesn't look like a Brooks to me (the one in the actual ad), and fifty bucks sounds about right. Promotional bikes always seem be the cheapest imaginable frames and components, and apart from the nice saddle on the one you found clear pix of, of this one doesn't look like an exception.
