I don’t question your decision...it’s cold and ripping out there all along the Front Range today. But your graphic is something that just bugs me no end. “Gusts up to 53 mph”? And “10 to 27 mph”? Both are a number off a model. Why not gusts to 50 mph or 55 mph? Or why not 10 to 30mph? These are predictions for a speed not a measured speed. The weather can report a recorded speed of 53 or 27 mph but not a predicted speed.
We have several weather people here in Colorado that say things like “Tomorrow’s high is going to be about 47°”. “About” can’t be that accurate. What would be a precise measurement? 47.33578°?
Sorry for the rant. It just bugs me.

reminds me I commuted in 13 miles during a rain storm with predicted 50 mph gusts. got 'er done but at one point a school bus passed me as they struck a deep "puddle" I was inundated by an enormous, blinding, tidal wave, head to toe. fortunately, I was all buttoned up & stayed dry. there was 1 road crossing which opened me up to those high crosswinds. guess I made it in between the worst gusts. don't think I would have tried it, if it had been a winter storm (aka blizzard) altho I did ride in to work thru snow storms that kept auto drivers home

I saw a stupid Patch article that said that the temperature is 40% higher than normal. Like 0ºF is absolute zero? What an idiot.
BobbyG the changing climate scares me, but I'm enjoying the heck out of the weather. The weather hasn't kept me off the bike one day this winter. I rode to class in the rain today, as it was just cool and light rain. I'm sorry it's more of a challenge for you.

Hahaha. Sorry to continue off topic, but I agree. I heard something the other day -- can't remember the context or the subject -- where someone had said something or done something "about 7 times," and it really irritated me.
