Two days ago it was 90+f here. Now it's 67f and I'm freezing, and supposed to be back up in the 90s by Sunday. Love this Oregon weather.

You gonna eat that?
It's soooooo hot....
that instead of my normal Wednesday night group ride, I rode down to the local pub and had few ginger ales instead of riding.

107 when I set out for a 40 mile ride Thursday afternoon. Some local weather reports claimed 109. I was so dizzy after 10 miles I thought about cutting it short, but kept chugging along with a group of about 50 other cyclists at a casual pace. Felt better, or fried enough brain cells I didn't care. Temp was still 103 by the time I got home after 9 pm.
Probably drank more water with electrolytes than I usually do in an entire week. I looked like I was frosted by the time I got home.

110° yesterday here in central Oklahoma. I didn't get out for a ride until 8:00 a.m. That was a mistake!

Saw a brief article about current heat wave, supposedly only 1/3 of single family households in Seattle have air conditioning. No specifics given providing details of the stats, but it gives context when we say anything above 85*F for a week long stretch gets to be hot.

Gonna be 85/71 all week in coastal SoCal. Perfect!
It's odd to think that we don't have AC, but we have family up in the Northwest that does.

I live in the hottest part of Los Angeles in the west San Fernando Valley. It's currently 107 at 4:09 PM. Even though I'm off this summer, I've been getting out of the house by 6:00 to get my 90 minute ride in before it gets too hot. I don't enjoy riding in the heat.

Heat index is supposed to be at lest 100 in Philly today. I sucked it up and did my bike-train-bike commute to NJ. Not that bad early a.m. Going home around 3:30 is going to be hell.

Expected high of 98. normally I wouldn't go for a ride, but it's going to be 104 tomorrow and the day after.. I can't handle 4 days off the bike, I'd go crazy. Going to take a route where I can stop at least 8 times to cool off in 50 miles.

Now back from Texas...ended up doing the 100k vice the 100mi at Katy, and the 45mi vice the 75mi at Granbury. Glad I opted for the shorter rides as my training level was not up to the heat this year, and I was able to roll in while temps were still in the low 90s.. Better safe than sorry.

I doubt anyone actually enjoys riding in extreme heat, but at least our heat here is somewhat tolerable compared to high humidity states in the east and southeast.

91 when I got off the bike Saturday and it's 90 as type this and I'm headed out for a ride shortly. I don't pay much attention to the heat index, but I imagine that it's 100 ish as high as the humidity is here in the Low County right now.
