Great vid with so many good parts and the drone adds another dimension. Have a safe journey and keep the great video's coming. How are you editing your video's? What software, hardware etc.

Le vidéo est très bien fait. J'espère que tout se passe bien pendant votre séjour.

Attention, les drones sont interdits aux parcs nationaux.

Confused by the thread title as I was expecting two male friends on bikes, instead it’s your (otherwise) very pretty wife. I assume it’s your wife as I noticed a wedding ring.

Regardless, a great video and adventure. I will follow the blog.

Stay safe and hope the weather stays warm and sunny.

It's a girl ...

I'm a yank living in Lyon now. Enjoy my home country. I'll be back in 2 years!

Just so you know, that other "guy" is a girl.

un message de Montréal, passe un super voyages aux E.U, have a wonderful trip. Be safe and enjoy.
Cute intro video, ben sympa. I am glad that drivers and people have been so polite and friendly, it sets a nice 'atmosphère' for your time in the States.
cheers et salut

I very much enjoyed your video and hope all of your journey goes well. Most Americans are fine. It is just a few in Washington who are crazy. I love France. Without France there would be no America.

Just don't get in trouble ,overextending the tourist visa, etc..

Napoleon's defeat , in Haiti's revolution , motivated him to sell out (other ,native peoples), land to President Jefferson..

and Lewis and Clark's voyage of discovery followed...

Quite novel to hear the French say something not deprecating or condescending, indeed complimentary, of the United States.

I've only met a couple of French folks bike-touring US, both seemed pretty positive that way. One guy turned out to be a dragster-truck mechanic of all things, quite an American-style occupation.

It was a nice video, but I'm assuming that as they headed east and into Arizona or Nevada, possibly the internet went away, which made follow ups difficult ?. Thus there's been nothing on the linked blog either.

Hope they re-post info.

Thank you so much for your answers and encouraging words!

We try to answer to everything in this post.

About the word "guys", we know it's masculin, but people use it for both genders and online we found that it is accepted for both too. What would be a better way to say the same?

About the drone we try to be very carefull and respectfull of every laws. We bough this tool at LA, and just after that we learned about all the limitations .
So we keep an eye on the map with the limitations indicated, and we don't fly that much, but enough for your little videos.
We had an update of the drone's firmeware wich now warn you in case you are in "delicate" area (near airport, school, etc...) and even block the taking off if we are in forbidden area, so that cool!

Gear we've certainly used to make this movie :
- DSLR Canon 550D + lens Canon17-55 f2.8
- Gopro Hero 4 Silver
- Smartphone Samsung Galaxy S7
- Drone DJI Mavic Air
- Microphone Rode Videomic
- Gimbal Zhyun Smooth 3
- Tripod Sirui T-005
- Solar panel GoalZero Nomade 20W + Battery GoalZero Sherpa 100
- Computer Ultrabook Lenovo T440S
what else...
About the software : Pavetube video converter, Photoshop CC and Sony Vegas PRO 14
