I used to be a big fan of the GP4000 S/S2 5 years ago. Like many have mentioned here, it's a very good all rounder tire. I had around 3-4 punctures throughout each set's lifespan and my LBS suggested I try the Schwalbe One.
I've went through at least 6 sets (front and rear) of the Ones, with about 3-4 punctures throughout the entire period, riding the same roads.
Few months ago, I finally tried the Vittoria Corsa and man, they're an absolute gold, albeit a little noisy. Did close to 3,000km on them and it looks like they have at least another 3,000km in them.
I also have the Vittoria Corsa Control (the wet weather version of the Corsa), but haven't tried them yet. It's the same tires used by the World Tour teams for Paris Roubaix.
